Song of The Day: Vanessa Williams "Dreamin"

This was and probably always will be one of my favorite records by singer/actress Vanessa Williams. "Dreamin" was released in 1988 and was from her debut album, The Right Stuff. It also became Williams first #1 hit on the R&B charts.  I can remember my mom playing this song in the car before dropping me off at the daycare on her way to work.

As the first black woman to be crowned Miss America, the beautiful and talented Vanessa Williams has remained consistent in revitalizing her career by acting on Broadway, movies, and on top-rated shows like Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives. She's apparently back in the studio and is expected to release an album this year. Her last album was released in 2009. Looking forward to hearing new music from her!
